I broke down and bought a pair of rain boots for my 5 year old last spring. I live in California…it’s not like we actually need rain boots here…but he loved them.
He wore them with everything. Even shorts. To baseball games. Everyone who passed him smiled and commented on them.
Then came the day he and his brother were jumping on the trampoline (in the rain boots, of course) and somehow one of the boots was tossed into the neighbors yard. The neighbor who has a Rottweiler.
We retrieved the boot a couple of days later, but needless to say, it was never the same again.
All this to say, rain boots are an awesome accessory. And there are so many cool ones out there: argyle, polka dots, stripes, houndstooth, etc.
They are not just for kids! (Though kids are adorably cute in them too!)
