What to Wear Wednesday: Meet Crewcuts

Who doesn’t love dressing boys? Man…it’s so easy! And the best part of all…matching is optional.

Cargo pants, funky socks, colorful shirt, hip shoes, some sort of hat…done. One of my favorite places to shop for ideas is JCrew’s kids’ line: Crewcuts.

Did you know that JCrew had a pint-size version? It seems like everyone carries a kids’ line of clothing these days. So if you have a favorite shop…check and see if they’ve branched out. You might be surprised!

One of the easiest things to do with boys is dress them kind of “every day” and then add a touch of the unexpected, like these Converse with funky laces. They are your typical white shoe with a twist. And it allows your little man to express his personality a bit.

Or these socks. They gotta wear some anyway…why not make them something to remember. I’m not sure I could sell my boys on these socks, but I sure love them. (Funky socks are a big trend weddings nowadays. The groom (and groomsmen) wear crazy socks and pull up their pant legs for photos.)

Just make sure it’s something they WANT to wear. Boys who do not like what they are wearing are not happy campers. And we all like to keep our campers happy. Especially on picture day.
