All sessions are done on location — either outdoors or at your home. I have several “go to” locations that I’m happy to suggest, though I love to try out new places too. If you have someplace specific in mind, let me know. I book most of my sessions in the late afternoon, when the light is soft and golden.
Sessions typically last 1-2 hours. I have a very relaxed approach to photo shoots. I realize that when we are working with children, sometimes they will cooperate, and sometimes they won’t. I like to play games and let the session evolve as naturally as possible. I’ll never ask you or your child to say “cheese,” in fact I try to stay away from plastic camera smiles. I like to interact with your family and capture you being who you are — playing, laughing, loving — complete with real smiles and real expressions.
Clothing is a very important part of creating a wonderful portrait. If you can’t tell by my portfolio, my style lends itself to casual clothing. Check out my “What to Wear” section for ideas/suggestions on putting together outfits.
