Let me introduce you to one of my highest selling products: gallery wrapped canvas. Haven’t heard of them?
Gallery wrap is a method of stretching a canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to the back of a wooden frame. The frame is typically 1.25″ thick and the hardware (staples or tacks) used to secure the canvas can not be seen from the sides. The image on the canvas is printed on the sides as well as the front — a continuation of the main image. Make sense?
They are modern, clean and stunning. And perhaps best of all…ready to hang on your wall. No need to buy a pricey frame and mat in addition to your print. While I do love framed images, custom framing doesn’t come cheap. And after a few years, you may not love the color/style of frame you chose. That has happened to me on more than once.
Here are a couple examples from some fabulous clients:
The first example is from a photo session with the Miller family. She blogged about it here. (Note: the link for her photos is no longer a valid since I redesigned my website. They can be found here. ) Jessica has the best style and I love the way she decorates. This canvas is in her girls’ room, between their two beds:

The next one is from a San Jose session with the Tuck family. They were all so much fun and ready for anything. We played in a riverbed with a tree swing hung from a gorgeous old California Oak. Debbie found the perfect spot for their photos! (I’ll be back in San Jose in May if you want to have your photos taken at this spot!) This is a series of three large canvas: (2) 24×36 and (1) 40×36 and is my personal favorite way to use gallery wrapped canvas — a statement piece. Big and bold.

Remember to display your photos. Getting your photos taken is step one…displaying them is step two! You’ve invested in gorgeous images…put them some place where you can see them every day and smile.
