My favorite part about the holidays is receiving Christmas cards.
In fact, practically the only reason I send out Christmas cards is to get them back in return. I love checking the mail every day and seeing whose card I get to open. I love to hear from my friends, see their pictures, read up on everything that’s happening in their lives, etc.
We prominently display the cards above our fireplace and my kids have fun taking the pictures down, over and over, and asking about who is in the photo, how I know them, things I remember about each person.
I have to admit that I actually have a hard time throwing the Christmas cards away after the holidays. It feels like I’m throwing away a gift.
The only thing that rivals my friends’ cards are the cards I receive from my clients! I don’t think I can put into words how excited I get when my clients think of me as a friend and add me to their Christmas list. It’s an honor.
And I’m so secretly pleased to see them use the images I created of their families. Tickled pink. A smile stays on my face all day long…seriously. Thanks for all the holiday smiles!
