Meet one of my best friends, Allison.
She’s the type of friend who immediately says “absolutely” when I call and ask if she wants to rent a beach house with me. She even lets me and my 5 kids invade her house for a week, cooks for us, plays tour guide and then asks us to stay longer when our week is up. And even though I’m terrible at picking up the phone and keeping the relationship going, we always manage to pick up right where we left off every time we get together.
I like to travel with her because I know that we will do and see everything in the area, no matter what. Tired? No excuse. Lost? We’ll figure it out. Feel like you’ve seen enough? Nope…there’s a couple more “must sees” before we go. I love it!
I was so thrilled to photograph her family at my favorite, favorite beach: Cannon Beach, Oregon. (I need to devote an entire blog post to that beach, just in case you are in the area and need the low-down.) The sky was cloudy and moody, just like Oregon often is, which was perfect!
